Each are being considered with the manager's job at the Scottish champions following the former manager's resignation on Monday.

McKenna's Stance on The Scottish Club

The Ipswich boss described the Glasgow giants as "an enormous soccer institution" but stressed he is "in the middle" of a "extensive rebuilding" with the Championship side.

The 39-year-old assumed control of Ipswich in recent years and guided the team to the English top flight with back-to-back promotions, but they managed only four games last campaign as they were relegated back to the Championship and they currently sit twelfth place in England's second tier.

"There have been any of those conversations," the London-born former Irish youth international said when questioned about being on the candidate list.

"This isn't a matter I have given any thought to, or where any part of my focus is this week.

"I possess a unique position here at a remarkable club. And we're at a really important stage of the season. Everything outside of that hasn't reached my radar."

Background and Agreement Details

It has been suggested that McKenna would be open to speaking to the Scottish side given his childhood support.

"Growing up, we all have our preferences," he said when questioned about these. "It's unlikely everyone has to go around and declare what they were, but of course it's a really big sports organization."

McKenna signed a new four-year contract in last year and was questioned about his alleged buyout clause.

"In every manager's contract, there are provisions," he replied. "I'm unaware what mine are and, were I informed, I wouldn't tell you regardless!

"I approach this job like I'll be Town's coach forever. I know that's not invariably going to be the situation, but I will consistently give maximum effort as while I am here."

Bellamy's Situation

Bellamy played for the Hoops on loan from the Magpies in 2005, but the former Welsh striker is inclined to complete the current global tournament qualification, a position that would effectively rule out the 46-year-old from immediately taking the Celtic job.

Wales are currently third in their World Cup group behind group toppers the Red Devils and second-placed North Macedonia.

Wins over the minnows and their rivals in next month would book their position in the final qualifying round, but they are all but guaranteed of making those, thanks to a productive European competition performance, should they not finish as their group second place.

Considering his present position, Bellamy, whose agreement expires after Euro 2028, would be unavailable until after the qualifying matches at the minimum.
