The former Liverpool manager admits rejoining to lead Liverpool is plausible in theory.

Jurgen Klopp, who departed from Liverpool in 2024, remarked that rejoining the club is something that could happen. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful nine-year spell that included Champions League success and the Premier League crown since 1990, has since taken on roles as head of global soccer with the Red Bull group and providing guidance with the German Football League.

Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments

They secured the league title in the previous campaign, but many fans who adore the manager would be thrilled by the notion of his potential comeback. In a wide-ranging interview, he told his interviewer: “I said I will never coach another team in England. Therefore if then it’s Liverpool...absolutely. It's plausible.”

“At 58 years old, which suggests I might decide in a few years, it's uncertain. Do I have to make the decision today? If so, I wouldn't return. Fortunately, it's not necessary. I'll simply watch what the future brings.”

Conditions for a Comeback

Pressed on which situations must arise to bring him back to the dugout, he revealed he isn't eager to such a return. “I don’t even know exactly, My present work fulfills me,” he commented. “No longing for management; No desire to be under bad weather for two-and-a-half or three hours; No need for media briefings repeatedly each week or doing numerous chats each week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room as a dressing room, but sitting in a restaurant alongside the squad enjoying conversation, I appreciate that. With many victories thus frequently a very good mood in the building. I can still hear the captain's chuckle vividly recalled to illustrate.”

Commending Arne Slot

He spoke highly for his successor, praising him for the tweaks that took the title last campaign. Liverpool have lost a string of losses in every contest post heavy investment, but he rubbished the notion of it representing the start of a downward turn.

“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker like Florian Wirtz, doubters will be silenced with negative comments. He’s an incredible talent. Ekitike, excellent performer. It’s a really good well-judged squad. You don’t have to worry about Liverpool, they will be fine.”

Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota

He shared movingly on the loss of the Portuguese star, a 2020 acquisition during his tenure, and the effect at the club. The forward was killed in a car crash with his brother recently.

“Who can fill the void of somebody like Diogo? This isn't just regarding his footballing ability, it’s the guy he was. It's hard to picture the squad missing him. I find it difficult to discuss about it. A profound tragedy for his teammates too. Not a single person will ever use it to justify results though it's a fact. You walk in a dressing room which he filled completely. Coping with it emotionally is not easy. Overwhelming.”
